Delete your PrepTempo account

This page covers the PrepTempo website and the PrepTempo mobile app. One account covers both, so deleting it removes your data from both.

Delete it yourself in the app

This is the fastest route and it does not involve us at all — the deletion happens immediately, from your own signed-in session.

  1. Open the PrepTempo app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Account tab and scroll to Danger zone.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm. Your account and everything attached to it are deleted straight away.

Or ask us, if you do not have the app

Account deletion is not yet self-service on the website, so if you only ever used preptempo.com — or you cannot sign in — email us instead.

  1. Email us from the account address. Send a message to support@preptempo.com with Delete my account as the subject. You can also use the contact form.
  2. Send it from the email on the account. That is how we confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot use that address any more, say so and we will verify another way before deleting anything.
  3. We delete it and reply to confirm. We action verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

This is not reversible. Deleting your account also ends any access you paid for, and your progress cannot be restored afterwards. If you only want to stop the email, use the unsubscribe link in any non-essential message or turn preferences off on your account page instead.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in email: The account record itself, and the email address used to sign in.
  • Optional profile details: First name, last name, phone number, and notification preferences — anything you added on your account page.
  • Study and progress data: Your answer on each practice question, whether it was right, quiz and diagnostic scores, per-domain breakdowns, how far you are through each chapter, and any study plan you set up.
  • Purchases and access: Your purchase records and the entitlements built from them. Deleting the account therefore ends any access you paid for, and this cannot be undone.

Anything the mobile app saved on your device — your sign-in session, quiz progress, and downloaded study content — is removed from the device when you sign out or delete the app.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Feedback you submitted: Kept, but detached from your account when the account is deleted, so it can no longer be linked back to you.
  • Support messages and contact-form submissions: Kept as long as we may need them to handle the issue, any follow-up questions, and any related refund or guarantee claim.
  • AI tutor daily counters: Kept only as long as needed to enforce the daily message limit. The contents of tutor conversations are never stored in the first place.
  • Server logs: Retained by our host for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
  • Transaction records held by Stripe: Retained by Stripe independently, under its own policies and applicable financial recordkeeping law, even after your PrepTempo account is deleted. We cannot delete those on your behalf.

If you do not want to delete everything

Write to the same address and ask. You can request a copy of your account and study data in a portable format, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or edit your profile fields and notification preferences yourself on your account page at any time.
