Both NIC written (90 min) and NIC practical required, 75% to pass. 650-hour curriculum is itemized in board rules (70 hrs sciences/safety, 300 hrs facials/makeup/lashes, 50 hrs hair removal, 70 hrs salon management, 160 hrs school discretion). Requires HS diploma/equivalent. No separate Montana-law written exam published. NIC maps also lists D.L. Roope as a historical provider — current administration is Prov.
