Minnesota real estate license
What it takes to get licensed to sell real estate in Minnesota, from the state's official commission and exam vendor.
- Salesperson hours
- 90 (three 30-hour courses: Course I, II, III; Course I must be completed before sitting for the state exam, all three before applying for license)
- Broker requirement
- 30 hours of broker-specific pre-license coursework + at least 3 years' experience as a licensed salesperson (MN or equivalent state) within the 5 years preceding the broker exam application
- Exam vendor
- Pearson VUE
- Exam structure
- National portion: 80 scored + 5 unscored pretest questions. State law portion: 50 scored + 5-10 unscored pretest questions. Scored separately.
- Passing
- 75% (score of at least 75) on each portion
Preparing for the Minnesota exam
