- 75 hours (PA Real Estate Fundamentals 30 hrs + PA Real Estate Practice 45 hrs)
- Broker requirement
- 3 years' active experience as licensee while completing 240 hours (16 credits) of approved broker coursework
- Exam vendor
- Pearson VUE — the PA Real Estate Commission contracts Pearson VUE to administer both the salesperson and broker exams (candidate handbook and content outlines current through March 2026)
- Exam structure
- Salesperson exam: 110 total questions — 80 national + 30 state, scored separately. Broker exam: 120 total questions — 80 national + 40 state, scored separately
- Passing
- Salesperson: national 60/80, state 23/30. Broker: national 60/80, state 30/40 (roughly 75-77%)
